Biography
Owner, Aaron Shanks has spent twenty years working for economic development and arts nonprofits. In 2015, he joined the world of entrepreneurs when he founded Shanks Creative, LLC, a marketing and communications consulting company. His former employer was his first client.
Mr. Shanks played many roles from Loan Packager to Marketing Genius. He has supported sales teams, managed multi-channel marketing campaigns, public relations, government relations, and event management. He was deeply involved in organizing and operating regional and national industry conferences.
As a volunteer small business advisor for Ventures, a nonprofit organization, Aaron Shanks has helped empower individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership.
As a professional performer and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the stage actors’ union, Aaron Shanks has performed in plays, musicals, operas, concerts, and cabarets for over 30 years.
As a Board Member of Showtunes Theatre Company Mr. Shanks helps promote and produce rarely performed gems of the musical theatre canon. He is currently the Finance and Development Chair.
Born and raised in Washington State, within view of Mt. Rainier, Mr. Shanks holds Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing and Bachelor of Arts in Music degrees from Western Washington University. He lives with his domestic partner of over 20 years, Michael Fearnehough, founder of MBF Productions and Cascadia Emergency Management, in a very entrepreneurial household.
